Dude, so we know this video is supposed to be coming out May 2nd, but there is a small little trailer here to help us get even more hyped if we weren't already. I saw this posted on 2dopeboyz and I believe I should give credit where credit is due, and I thank them for being so up to date on everything. Here is the trailer if you haven't seen it for Eminem's 3 A.M. song coming out soon...

Method Man, Redman, Ghostface Killah & Raekwon - 4 Minutes to LockDown
Another banger that was posted on RapBasement. Method Man & Redman kill this song, while the features Ghostface Killah & Raekwon do what they do and that's always fire. Two hot songs in a day and I'm excited about the direction music is taking one more time. Heck with this much heat I might have to start posting up download links! Lil Wayne - Brand New Money
FIRE!!!!!! is all I gotta say. Lil Wayne has every reason to rap about "Brand New Money" especially with his influence. Every single verse and punchline on this track had me like, wow ok, holy cow, omg, etc. I couldn't get over it, the song was like reaching 10 highs in one track. Anyways you check it out, and let me know if you get hyped off of this. Wayne PLEASE comeback to rapping!Lil Wayne - Brand New Money | Audio | Rap Basement

Drake feat Tanya Morgan - Right to Left
So if Drake wasn't impressing you by being a poor mans Lil Wayne check him out in this song. I feel in this track Drake kills it, and I think he might be taking shots at someone too. The song sounds like something Lupe would/could be on and to me it shows how much Drake can do. Drop that album Drake soon, you don't want to have Bishop Lamont buzz and disappear.Song Link: Click Here

It's Hip Hop's TIME
Yesterday we found out that 2 prominent rappers made the TIME Magazine's top influential people list, and both were even higher than our very own President Obama. T-Pain was #34 on the list and even though he is not a rapper he has tried to be. Lil Wayne was at #12 and that is very significant for Hip Hop. The fact that TIME acknowledges that a rapper has influence in ANY way is big news. Maybe Hip Hop is not dying after all.

Lloyd Banks Little Brother Loui V
Ok so now that the new layout is basically up and running I have decided to put up my first post with it in action. Here is Lloyd Banks little brother Loui V in an interview, and he even spits a few raps. Many that sounded corny lol, but anyways here it is.
Now after seeing this video I have a few questions and the biggest one is, Why didn't Lloyd Banks bring his brother in with him? Also, does he know 50 cent's cousin? Maybe they could re-start G-Unit as a trendy label. Well until we find out more info, we will go with what we got, and to tell you the truth he isn't much different than Lloyd Banks.

Best Buy Going Vinyl?
I heard this news on HipHopDx about the electronic retail store Best Buy adding more Vinyl albums to there shelves. According to them Vinyl sales have shot up in the past few years as cd sales have significantly dropped. I feel this could be a good move, but what kind of Vinyl is being bought? Are people buying records for old songs, or brand new ones? Also, what if they decided to sell individual songs itunes style in store. I think that could work better than going back into the past.

Tupac is Alive?!?!?!?!?
OMG I was on TMZ and I saw some pictures that really had me believing Pac was alive. Now at first look you would think this is Tupac, but if you look closely it is not. Yeah nearly every facial feature looks similar but the nose, and the ears don't. Pac's earlobes did not connect and this guys does. I wonder if went out in public like this on purpose, or he set this up so it could be picked up all over the internet. He did a good job regardless on fooling us a little bit!

Man this dude is pretty cool and if you haven't heard about him before he is named Murs, and has been around since 97. This track is pretty sick, chill, and throwback like. Check it out and let me know if you like it because I got a commercial track coming up right after this. You will be able to hear the difference between the 2 songs, as one is anthem like while this one seems artful to me. LL Cool J's Clothing Line No More
Correction on this article, Sear's reports they have NOT taken LL'c clothes off there shelves, and they are NOT shutting down the clothing line. I think something weird is going on here.Straight from Hip Hop DX the news is Sears has discontinued LL's clothing line. Now me personally I had no clue there was a clothing line, and also wasn't aware it was making money at a point. Oh well, aren't we in a recession anyways? Rick Ross Album Sales
It's Deeper Than Rap sold a whopping 152,873 copies first week to be #1 in Hip Hop album sales. This total is said to be lower than his preview 2 albums, and Ross continues his consistency of low first week album sales. No I'm not a 50 cent rider, but c'mon all the hype from Ross had me expecting at least close to 200k. Jim Jones - We Fly High (remix)
Another throwback joint, and Jim Jones's only hit. Hopefully Jim get's some more good music, since he is still somewhat relevant to hip hop.
Busta Rhymes - Touch It (remix)
Today has been a boring day for me so I decided to go back in time a lil bit and listen to some more older music from earlier in the decade. So far I got Busta Rhymes and the Touch It remix which was reppin for the city of New York. This track was and still is one of my favorites because of the beat, and all the features who are all basically on point. I wonder how big this song could've been if he did this for the nation like get Snoop from the west, someone from the Midwest, Luda for the South, etc.

Rick Ross Interview before Trilla
This interview with Rick Ross happened before he released his second album last year. In this interview he is asked a question about beef with 50 cent which he says there is none. When the guy says he heard the beef in the street's Rick just seems like he get's all defensive. Now don't get me wrong Trilla was a pretty good cd I liked it a lot, but these days with all the information coming out on Ross, his credibility is really hurting his rap image for me. He talks about keeping things 100 in this interview and truthful, but he just seems too caught up in himself and this image of Rick Ross. I know there are a lot of rappers in the game who are not what they say, but usually they don't try this hard to become something they are not. If Ross wants to go at 50 cent's credibility, he will have a tough time as we have proof 50 sold drugs at a point in his life. All we have on Ross are some pictures from him receiving his C.O. Diploma, and nothing drug related or gang related. Someone should find out the truth and report it, I mean doesn't the media have the freedom of speech? Why let some clowns overpower them so they can get money for being fake?
Snoop Dogg Learns Karate

Since there is not much news for me to post up I'm putting up these pictures, and boy are they cracking me up. Here is one of big Snoop Dogg doing some karate. This guy used to be one of the thuggest rappers I knew. Maybe I didn't know that much back then lol.

Cash Money Record's White Rapper?!?!?!?!?

When I saw this picture with my favorite rappers from back in the day I started wondering some things. First, did this white guy while jogging decide to jump in the picture? As you can see it's obvious he seems kind of outta place. Then I started thinking to myself, maybe he is a rapper? I mean Eminem and Asher are white, why couldn't this guy be a rapper also. You can wrestle with that thought if you want but this picture was too hilarious to pass up.

Fat Joe on a Rampage!
I know it's not funny to make fun of fat people, but I used to be fat too at one time so is it justified? You can have your opinions on that while I show you this picture of homie Fat Joe enjoying his KFC. Now don't get me wrong I like KFC and these days I've been wondering why it took them so long to figure out how to make grilled chicken, but this picture is just priceless.Remember we are the most obese country in the world, why don't we go exercise!

Anyways here is a picture which I don't know is photoshopped or not with R Kelly in an outfit he shouldn't be wearing. Um Kellz, what happened?Full Picture: Click Here

Snoop Dogg & Nipsey Hussle Talk
This video is something I found on Thisis50 and its really cool. You would think there would be some type of beef with Snoop and Nipsey because of the similarities, but just like how Eminem showed us him and Asher have no problems big Snoop Dogg did the same thing. I really do appreciate the fact that the older rappers are showing love to the younger generation, and it feels like a passing of the torch onward to the new class. Hopefully they keep the tradition of good music alive while the one hit wonders phase in and out of the music.

If your looking for the Eminem Rehab Center here is the link. I tried to get some help from them but it didn't work out too good lol. Anyways if you thought "The Dark Knight" had a viral movie campaign, Marshall Mather's is on his way to doing something very similar. I wonder if Eminem will start a new trend with this Popsomp Hills strategy. I can see it now, Rappers creating website gimmicks to get more marketing for their new albums. As an innovator, Eminem has hit this pretty well, and the site looks so legit. Enjoy it while you can because I feel the drama will be coming soon......PopsompHills Rehabilitation Center: Click Here

No Asher Roth & Eminem Beef
Eminem stated on the radio yesterday he thinks Asher Roth is dope. Asher Roth stated he is honored by Eminem recognizing him as an artist. All of those people who wanted to see Asher get destroyed will have to wait to see if it happens. Me personally I feel like they sound the same, and its easy to tell. These two guys are rapping from different area's like i've said before so they got different stories to tell. Let's just be happy Eminem want's Hip Hop to grow, instead of bringing it down with drama, bullshit, and ridiculous beef. Thank You Eminem, Asher, and Rap Basement.

New Lloyd Banks Mixtape 4-30-09
I got another video and this time its Lloyd Banks letting us know about his new mixtape, and a few comments on Rick Ross. I was on WSHH again because that site is amazing, and I saw this video with Lil Wayne on the View. Now I don't watch this show at all unless I hear something about it in the news. Anyways when I put this on I didn't expect Lil Wayne to be hit by the questions he got hit by, and on top of that his answers really seemed genuine. This was good for Wayne's image, and hopefully more rappers get a chance to be heard as people.

Asher Roth - Lark On My Go Cart
I know this is late on the Asher Roth wagon since his album already dropped, but I really like this song and wanted to share. It is very Eminem like when it comes to being comedic, but Asher has not once tried to be a tough guy and sticks to his formula of being a regular dude. I appreciate Roth for being this way even though he sounds very similar to Eminem, and his marketing strategy of dropping on 4-20 was brilliant. Anyways this comedic song here should be a fun listen, if not tell me why I'm always down to hear what people have to say.

Snoop Dogg on Wax
Yeps the video with Snoop chillin with his Wax Statue is here, and its kinda funny. I also wanted to say congrats to Snoop even though he won't read this blog, about his accomplishments. Asher Roth Album Undershipped?
According to Asher it's true his album has been undershipped, but is that a big problem? I don't think so because of where the economy is at, and how music has been being purchased lately. These days its more digital than before, so shipping should be a relevant number according to what would be sufficient for a month. For example, if Asher had the hype we think he does, ship 500k cds and if you hear that hey they are selling out, send out the next shipment. Personally I think this is a good move by the record label, but I do wonder if after the 1st week are people still as interested to go back to purchase the album. Jay-Z feat Eminem - Renegade Video (on stage)
While I was doing my daily rap news browsing I came across this video which has Jay-Z and Eminem in Detroit performing on stage together. In an interview that was on Rapbasement, Rick Ross said he is bored with beefing with 50 cent and he is ready to go at it with Eminem. Lil Wayne feat Kevin Rudolf - Facelift
Now this new Lil Wayne hasn't been my style but Wayne rips this song apart. I love him rapping for the first time in a while, and boy is it murda. Rick Ross - Cold Blood
Since Rick Ross's cd drops today, I decided to put up this video I saw from WSHH. The song is pretty cool, and now we wait to see how the album sales come out. Let me tell you that I have previewed Rick's cd, and this is probably as hard as it gets. What disappointed me about his album is there wasn't a banger. For example, on his previous 2 albums Rick Ross had "Push It" and "Speedin" as some fire tracks. On this album there was no standout track like that except "Maybach Music 2" which isn't really a track that makes me get hyped. Oh well enough of my review, check out this track for yourself and if you can let me know what you think.
8Ball - America
I got on WSHH again and wanted to hear this track by 8ball because its been a while since I've heard music from him. I like this track, and I'm still wondering what the concept of this song is. I think it is a tribute to our nation, and a song for 8ball to talk about himself. I could be wrong, so if anyone can help me understand this song better leave me a comment.
Obama Fried Chicken Youtube Clip
I was browsing around the web when I found this post. In this video there is a store called Obama's Fried Chicken, and from what I know it is a store opened by Muslims because they sell halal meat. Now when the people making the video asked the person working in the store why the name Obama was chosen, the employee could only say there is a Kennedy's Chicken why not Obama's. Now as a person who enjoy's good business, this is an amazing strategy to get business, I just hope this doesn't become a huge racial issue because I do not feel any harm was meant to happen. Andre Iguodala Game Winning Shot
Yeah I know this is Basketball but the NBA playoffs have been crazy this first week. First there was Derrick Rose against Boston and that win for the Chicago Bulls. Then Houston destroyed Portland in a match up that had critics choosing Portland for the W. The game right before Houston had the Dallas Mavericks beating the San Antonio Spurs for there first road playoff victory in 2 years. Finally there was AI 2.0 aka Iguodala with a game winner as his 6th seeded 76ers beat the 3rd seeded Orlando Magic. As the NBA would say, "Where Will Amazing Happen This Year?" Well David Stern it has happened in 3 cities already, and we got a whole lot of games left to play.
Rick Ross Disses Eminem's Swag
I know this article came out a few days ago, but I just got a chance to read it and boy does Rick Ross sound kinda dumb. First off, Rick Ross and his opinion's are starting to make less and less sense by the week. The calling of 50 cent as monkey is boring me to death, and his logic just doesn't seem very smart. Now this article comes out about how Rick doesn't like Eminem's swag? As stated in Rap Basement, Eminem has always dropped a comedic first single targeted at Hollywood and mainstream American Celebrities. If Officer Ricky didn't know that about Mr. Mather's then he probably also didn't know Eminem doesn't take to kindly to having small jabs taken at him. We all know Eminem will never shy away from a battle, and the angle Rick Ross is taking, Eminem might have to give this guy a punch in the face. Oh, on a side note Rick Ross's album drops tuesday and I'm very interested to see his album sales. This is what the beef was about right? Or were they just going back and forth for the heck of it? At this point I really don't care but I know Ross vs 50 will have forums, and comment's everywhere within the next 2 weeks.

Best Rapper Alive?
I have a poll on this site which ask's you to vote on who you think is the best rapper alive. I put this on here to see what people thought, and the voting response has been pretty good. The next level I want to do on this blog is to get people's comments, and opinions on why they think who they think is the best. What I will put here is videos, album list's, etc. to give us good information to argue our points. Please respect others opinions, and let's keep this clean. Everyone's opinion is valid as long as it's productive. So after all is said and done, here is the new tab which is for "The Best Rapper Alive" debate.

Hot Boys - Hot Girl
Earlier this week I posted about an article which let us know some information about a Hot Boys reunion. For Sunday I'm gonna post some of there songs that were pretty tyte back in the late 90's early 00's. Hit me up with any comments about if you liked them, hated them, or remember those times back in the day. Here is the first track:

Danity Kane is Over
I'm not big on them but maybe someone cares. Danity Kane the girl group from P Diddy's Making the Band show is officially done. Only one artist remained and it was Dawn. Check it out leave me your opinions if you want. Did you have a favorite Danity Kane song? Let me know maybe I will check out what they did.
Flo Rida - On On
Another track I found on WSHH and I'm feelin it. I know Flo Rida usually, well actually is Pop music but this song is pretty chill. If you get a chance check it out, I think it has a real message to it, I just gotta listen a few more times lolz.
Swizz Beatz feat Drag On - School of Hard Knocks
Here is some new music by Drag-On and Swizz Beatz. I'm not really feeling the hook but its good to see these two guys making some music together. If Swizz produced this song then he got it on point. The beat is a good street beat and the samples used are done to perfection in my opinion. Let's just hope Swizz gives up on doing his own hooks because they have gotten even worse over the years.

Kid Cudi is Universal

I'm not sure if he has hit the stars yet, but Kid Cudi has signed on to Universal Motown and has his own record label now too. The hit song "Day N Nite" which has blazed up the charts has Cudi riding good energy, and hopefully he will have a nice album which is said to be released in the summer of 09. One thing that I know is Cudi has a different background than what most perceive rap should have, let's not write him off just because he enjoys the music from a different place.

Kanye West is 30 Seconds to Mars

Word is Kanye will be doing some production for 30 Seconds to Mars. This information was passed on by none other than Mr. West through his blog. I'm very interested to hear what Kanye will make on the production note, because it's a different style. If Kanye pulls this off I don't know if anyone can argue with him being one of the greatest producers ever, yeah I said ever.

Bow Wow & Twista will play NBA Live 09
I was on WSHH again today and found this video of Bow Wow and Twista agreeing to faceoff in NBA Live 09. One thing I think of when I hear about both these rappers is that they haven't been relevant for a few years. Other than that they had pretty good careers in the past, and maybe this videogame showdown could bring them some positive publicity. Now the last time Bow Wow had an opponent he got his a** handed to him by The Game in Madden 09. If I have any words of advice to Bow Wow it's, "Make Sure You Practice EVERYDAY". With that said let's hope they do this for a good cause if they put a wager in on this.

Hot Boys Reunion Closer to Reality!

Remember Bling Bling? Remember Drop it Like it's hot? Remember Ha? Maybe Back That Thang Up? #1 Stunna? Yep all those are some famous songs from the multiplatinum record label Cash Money Records. Earlier today I posted up on Cash Money and Jay Sean, well now I have some news on the old school Hot Boys.
According to HipHopDX the Hot Boys have moved one step closer to a reunion album. So far Juvenile has signed a deal and is on Cash Money, while Mannie Fresh, B.G., and Turk still need to get there paperwork together. Turk is still in jail though and is waiting on parole, while B.G. has been waiting to drop his album for over a year now. Also, Mannie Fresh has stated he wants this album to be a classic, with quality material. I have a few things to add to this, one being HELLZ YEAH! The Hot Boys are what got me into Hip Hop in the late 90's so this is big for me. Another thing is if Fresh says this album is supposed to be dope then I believe him. The reason why is because he needs this as a step to show that he still has it on the production side. I'm in big anticipation for the next move, and I feel flooding the streets with some music could be the right way to go, especially since big time radio play doesn't translate into radio sales.
Here is a preview of what we could be in for!

Jay Sean has Lil Wayne on New CD
I don't know if people have heard of Jay Sean but he is a singer from overseas who is British Asian. He is very famous in South Asian communities especially in Pakistan and India. The reason why I'm talking about him is because he was signed to Cash Money Records in late 2008. Now Jay has been working on music for a few years and now could gain the national exposure superstars get. In this interview Jay spoke about how he got signed to Cash Money, his first studio experience and how Lil Wayne got featured on his single. Jay has been on many different labels throughout the years, and hopefully he will get big to represent a different race in the ever evolving Hip Hop music genre. Here is a song by him just to get people a little more familiar with who Jay Sean is.
C-Murder for Anti Crime?
This news clip came out on WSHH and it really had me confused about what C-Murder was doing. If you remember C-Murder has been going through his own legal issues, and this campaign just seemed like a move to garner some positive publicity. I do not know what the real intentions are in this situation but I do hope C-Murder is sincere. If this is a true move then its a good move for Hip Hop.

Jadakiss has #1 Hiphop/R&B Album
I haven't really been following record sales for a while since most of them are very low. With low record sales musicians and labels have spread the blame back and forth. This week though I wanted to highlight Jadakiss's accomplishment of having the top album in Hip hop with around 135,000 albums sold. Now we all know Jadakiss has been around for years, but what stood out to me in this number was that Jada didn't have a hit record nor did he have a crazy marketing campaign. I did see his album get a few commercials on MTV and a lot of interviews of his online. Has Jadakiss tapped into a new marketing strategy? Did he just get lucky? Or have record labels found out a new way to push there artists. Let me know what you think.

Slaughterhouse - Wack MC's
Another track from a friend and this one also bumps in my opinion. He let me know he was on more lyrical music, and this track doesn't disappoint. Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, Crooked I, & Royce Da 5'9" created this group, and the only thing I can think of is trouble. If these 4 men went up against any of the classic rap groups I think they could hold there own. What do you think?

Tech N9ne feat Crooked I & Chino XL - Sickology
I was chillin last night and a friend hit me up with a few West Coast songs. The beat on this track is aggressive and this track just seems crazy violent. On top of a tyte beat, the rappers rap on point and with a sick flow. Some of the lyrics might seem controversial, but I haven't heard a track like this in a while.
Mos Def Rapping
Another video from WSHH and this is pretty tyte. I had to listen to this a few times because Mos Def killed it. Check it out and let me know wassup, real Hip Hop is coming back.
J-Doe - Thunda Clap
I was on WSHH again I started checking out some of the Unsigned Hype and this dude is on point. If you listen closely his lyrics are crazy tyte. At a first listen it might sound like he is just messing around and not serious about rap, but if you listen closely he is telling you why he is doing this song this way with a few other points. Check it out I think some of the new Hip Hop artists are starting to get very serious.

Eminem XXL Interview

Eminem is the Punisher according to the new XXL interview. In this interview Em talks about his drug issues, Proof's death, and rap in it's state now. A summary of the article is basically how Em couldn't handle his addiction and needed help, how he felt the Proof death affected him more than anyone, and how Lil Wayne and T.I. have somewhat brought Hip Hop back to being about the full song not just the beat and hooks. On the death of Proof, Eminem states how he was selfish about how he felt feeling the death hit him more than anyone, which I can understand when it comes to losing close friends. Check out the article when you get a chance, because Eminems words are pretty interesting. I just don't like the picture session he had even though I understood the theme.

Old NWA Picture

I got this from a friend who was randomly surfing on the web. When I first took a glimpse of this picture I thought Eazy-E looked like Chris Paul from the New Orleans Hornets, also the first person I recognized was Dr Dre. Man these guys were legends and it's crazy that back then they were nobody's. Much respect to NWA and hopefully that movie comes out real good.

Word is Rick Ross is going to drop a mixtape with the same title as 50 cent's new album. I really didn't care much for this article but those of you who follow the beef might like it. Michael Jordan is Competitive
This video from WSHH caught my eye because it was Michael Jordan and because it referred to his competitiveness. As a child I remember glimpses of Jordan before the 1st retirement and all of his comeback and post 3 rings. When people used to speak about this man the nature of how competitive he was seemed like it hit another level. Until now I had no idea how much MJ wanted to be better than anyone and everyone at anything. Check this out if you can, it's crazy how this guy just wanted to be #1.

Nipsey Hussle feat Slauson Boyz - Roll The Windows Up
Once again I've been on the search to find songs which I can embed into my blog but once again no luck. I thought there was some sites that supplied that but I still couldn't get it done. Anyways until I find a way I'm going to give links to sites that has some songs I like or I find funny or interesting. Right here we got the West Coast boy Nipsey Hussle back with another banger called "Roll the Windows Up" and he does it on point. The Crip from the Coast is dropping more fire and if he can get enough buzz nationwide then he will have a nice summer. Check it out for yourself and let me know if you would ride to this.

Jamie Foxx feat T-Pain - Blame It
Hip Hop and Rap news is kinda slow these days so I decided to post some music I've randomly been finding to help this blog get some more music on it. This track everyone knows especially if you listen to urban radio. It's not a bad track, very club like and chill at the same time. This song is pretty old back from Kobe's #8 days. Here Mr. Bryant decides to take a page from Shaq and drop a rap song. It's a good thing Kobe didn't pursue this as a career and stuck with basketball.
Kanye West & His Mother's Doctor
I can't believe that I forgot posting this news a few days ago but here it is. According to E! online the doctor who performed multiple cosmetic procedures on Kanye West's mother has lost his license. Dr. Jan Adams is the person's name and can petition for reinstatement after 3 years according to this article. Dr. Adam's had a past with some alcohol related incidents and was sought after by talk shows for the procedures he did. My personal opinion on this matter is this guy should be held more accountable for his actions, but then again I don't know the whole story. What do you think? more justice? or has he faced enough.

Eminem In The Studio
This video is from 2006 because the song you can tell is "Jimmy Crack Corn" from Re-Up. Eminem just doing his thing in the studio, and it's fun watching him in action. He is having fun chillin tryin to write to this track, which in my opinion turned out to be pretty sick.
FL Studio: Gated Synth Pad (Timbaland Style)
I was looking for content to post up for Sunday but couldn't fine much so I decided to post this video for those FL Studio users. If you don't know FL Studio is a music program which allows you to make beats. The range on what can be made is vast in this program, and users make nearly anything they want. In this video the person gives you a tutorial of how to make the synth gated. For example a gated synth is basically the main sound in the song "Way I Are" by Timbaland. Check out this video it is pretty cool how they do it.

Officer Ricky: Triple C's (Carol City Confessions)
Maaaaaaaaan I know this is another Rick Ross post, but is it obvious to anyone that this dude is living a lie. This video is an old video of Ross dissing Trick Daddy after finding out Trick said that Rick was a Cop. I feel that a lot of rappers/musicians are not what they say, but nobody has made it as obvious as this dude. Like I've said before good music is good music, but when do we challenge credibility? Do we let people slide just because the music is good? Or do we make them responsible for what they are saying.
We all know 50 cent got shot at 9 times, we all know Eminem was poor growing up in Detroit, Ludacris was a DJ before rapper, and we also know about Snoop Doggs history as a child. Throw in some of New York's most prominent in LL Cool J, Nas, & Biggie along with California's 2Pac and Eazy-E and we have background stories on some of these artists which are believable through many different sources. I'm not saying you have to be bad to be good or reliable in Hip Hop, I'm just saying don't fabricate your past to make yourself something your not. Being shot also doesn't add to credibility neither does being poor, rapping about your background a la Asher Roth style will make you a recognized rapper with "Real Talk" which I think is what Hip Hop needs more than anything. Yep I went off on a tangent but this annoy's me to the fullest. How credible is a C.O. rapping about drugs. Maybe if Ross rapped about those who were affected and the stories he heard about them, then I could take him more serious. Right now though this just makes me sick.
PS: If you think I'm riding with 50 cent all the way I'm not, I just want grown men to actually be responsible for once.

Young Buck - Can't Catch Me (The Future)
I know it might seem like this is a 50 cent hating day but it's not. Ironically I'm posting this Young Buck song after posting up some of 50's best friends earlier. I think earlier this week I posted about Buck and how he was supposed to drop some mixtapes. Here is a track leaked from I don't know where and it's not that bad. I really feel if 50 cent had Buck right now then any problem's in the south would be handled by Buck with 100% enforcement. Anyways since 50 doesn't want Buck around Mr. Cashville has decided to drop some of his own stuff which is sounding pretty good. Rick Ross feat The Game, Ja Rule, Fat Joe - Mafia Music (remix)
Rick has gotten himself a pretty good track here with Mafia Music, and since I was complaining about getting a good track out for this beef Ricky seems to have done it. Over the years we know 50 cent has made some pretty good enemies, and for Rick to get most of them on this track doesn't seem too well for Curtis. Now we all know Ja Rule and Fat Joe are basically washed up, but Rick Ross and The Game on the same track now that was some fire. One thing about The Game though is for some reason it seemed like either he was sick, didn't want to be recognized, or straight up tried to copy Ross's style. It's funny how 50 cent has created a club of 50 haters, but you tell me, will you bump this or dump this (I know kinda cheesy but I needed something!).

Asher Roth feat Chester French - As I EM (snippet)

So if anyone doesn't think Asher Roth and Eminem don't sound the same then you need your ears checked. Real talk they both sound similar but are from 2 different areas. Are Asher and Em very similar? Yeah, the voice, the skin color (I know obvious yet dumb comparison) and style are very close. There is a difference, Asher is more reserved than Eminem, and he is coming from a very different background. Em had a poverty background, while Asher was trying to find his way through college with a middle class upbringing. Anyways check out what Asher thinks and let me know your thoughts.

Rick Ross feat Kanye West, Lil Wayne, T-Pain - Maybach Music 2
Maybach Music 1 was a classic to me and this just adds to how ill some beats Rick Ross picks out are plain sick. Kanye does it right, T-Pain hits up the hook sick, this song for me is completely on point. If Ross has more songs like this with on point verses, and amazing production then he has a chance to be critically acclaimed here. This is just my opinion what do you think?

AllHipHop.com Daily News - : New Young Buck Material On The Way

This video surfaced yesterday of Young Buck in a studio saying he has some new mixtapes coming out pretty soon. I like Buck but what are his mixtapes worth if 50 cent won't let him out of his record deal. The man needs to eat and his checker's move got put into checkmate by Curtis playing chess. I know business should never be personal but it has been between these 2 men. Yeah the human thing to do would be let Buck go, but would you let Buck go after he tried to Defame everything you have worked to build in your business?

Kanye West's Reaction to South Park

What up, Kanye and his ego spoke about their views on the South Park cartoon and let me tell you that I think they are ok. Kanye West found it pretty funny and even posted this on his blog. It's good to hear celebrities not get all drama queen on us just one time. Thank you Kanye for having a sense of humor, now we all can enjoy this even more.
Here is Kanye's (and his Ego's) Reaction: "SOUTH PARK MURDERED ME LAST NIGHT AND IT’S PRETTY FUNNY. IT HURTS MY FEELINGS BUT WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM SOUTH PARK! I ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN WORKING ON MY EGO THOUGH. HAVING THE CRAZY EGO IS PLAYED OUT AT THIS POINT IN MY LIFE AND CAREER. I USE TO USE IT TO BUILD UP MY ESTEEM WHEN NOBODY BELIEVED IN ME. NOW THAT PEOPLE DO BELIEVE AND SUPPORT MY MUSIC AND PRODUCTS THE BEST RESPONSE IS THANK YOU INSTEAD OF “I TOLD YOU SO!!!”

AllHipHop.com Daily News - : The Game to Launch Clothing Line in Europe

I know we got some stuff from The Game on here today but the change is good. This article here is describing how The Game is wanting to gain some more world wide exposure through establishing this brand outside of the United States. I really would like to see him be more established overseas and even though starting a clothing line in these economic times isn't really a good move, starting a line in Europe doesn't seem like a bad move at all. The only factors I see that could be a problem is his current celebrity status overseas and marketability, but I'm sure his people have worked out those issues. Anyways, nice job for Game moving forward and gettin that money!

Bill O'Reilly Attacks Eminem
I found this video while chilling on WSHH and it caught my eye. I know that this blog is used for freedom of speech and any constructive comments are welcome. The reason I'm posting this is because O'Reilly started this off with Eminem. Everyone knows Bill loves controversy and is ALWAYS (sarcasm) right, and without him taking these topics in this way he would not get his ratings. I do not support or am against all of the views stated in this topic but the way Eminem is targeted just doesn't seem fair. Maybe having Eminem on the show could help O'Reilly figure out where this is coming from? I do feel Bill is probably intimidated by Mr. Mathers so that might not happen, especially since Eminem has been a very strong Democratic supporter. Anyways check out the video and if you get a chance let me know, is Bill O'Reilly attacking Eminem, or is he just stating some facts?

Dirty - He Want Da Money ft. Rich Boy
Suuuuuuuuuuup I'm feelin this joint I think its pretty chill and the production is on point. I do wonder though where has Rich Boy been all this time, maybe he had too much money? I know that was a terrible joke but this song I guarantee you is not bad.

Lloyd Banks feat Ron Browz - In Luv Wit Ya Boy

Lloyd Banks has finally released something new but this hook is not really good. I liked the beat going throughout but Ron Browz didn't do very good with this when it comes to doing the hook. Keep on trying Ron I ain't gonna hate because I have nothing you got when it comes to celeb status, but some hook writing help could be beneficial.

Jim Jones Twitters

So the hype around Twitter has reached just about everyone now, but a few still are skeptical about adding this social gadget along with many others they use. One thing for sure is Jim Jones has added this to his arsenal and used it very well after getting stopped by an officer. In this article Jim Twitters about his arrest and is pretty calm about it. Good look for not going off on the cops Jimmy.

Lil Wayne to Diss 50 Cent!

Yo yo yo what up, I know updates were kind of slow because honestly nothing interested me too much. One thing I found is this article on Rap Basement saying Lil Wayne will appear on 2 tracks for Rick Ross's album, and they say one will be on a track to diss 50 cent. I'm not sure how true this is or how much Rick just wants more buzz but I'm interested in what Wayne has to say about the G-Unit general. Will Wayne go hard on this or just show that he has sided with Ross? Will Banks try to go after Wayne which could set up one of the most lyrical beefs in Hip Hop? Let's stay tuned to see because this is looking like a very nice summer indeed.

Eminem - We Made You (Music Video)
Lol Eminem is back at his comedic ways with this video. The song itself is hard to listen to but with the video its an amazing song. Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think.
TI, Young Jeezy, Ludacris, Lil Scrappy ON STAGE TOGETHER!
I know you probably heard the news about this but here is the video. From WSHH and boy is it fun to watch. The ATL hip hop scene is still movin forward, and with TI gone for 1 year I have a good feeling it will be held down very well by some prominent rappers. Oh yeah didn't Outkast say they was coming back, and aren't they from around here?

Busta Rhymes feat T-Pain - Hustler's Anthem
Busta Rhymes is back to his old ways in this video, and the song is chill too. T-Pain does his regular vocoder work on this track which ain't too bad to listen to. I really don't feel this song is a Hustler's Anthem but its a fun song and really chill. Maybe just maybe Busta is gettin us ready for some wild stuff!

Chris Brown NOT GUILTY?!?!?!?!?!?!?
So Chris Brown pleaded not guilty. I don't know how this works in the legal system from here on out, but I have a good feeling this is gonna get nasty.
