Rihanna - Hard feat. Young Jeezy (Video)

A few days ago I was doing some reading and found a few comments by readers writing about Rihanna's change up over the past 5 years.  If you remember when Rihanna first started she came in with some party music, and now has completely changed it up to military/dark/sad/etc.  One of the first reactions I heard from people were that she has joined Jay-Z and the Masons, which could be valid but to tell you the truth I have no clue.  Right here today I had a chance to check out her video to this song "Hard" featuring Jeezy, and the video has left me somewhat confused.  The beginning of the video has Rihanna as a general or sergeant playing into the beginning of the song.  Later she goes on to walking in a desert avoiding bombs and gunshots while continually singing her song.  We get our Jeezy appearance here which is pretty on point and he does his thing, but then Rihanna comes up sitting on a tank wearing a Disney World hat, or atleast that's what it looks like.  Summary aside my question is,  what is Rihanna's direction now?  Does anyone know or are they just trying to mix everything up in a pot and see if she will appeal to everyone?  Well here is the video, and if you have any comments please share them...

DJ Khaled - Fed Up feat Usher, Drake, Young Jeezy, & Rick Ross (Video)

Catchy song with the all star class Khaled is known to give up.  These collaborations to show hip hop unity seem kinda played out though.

DJ Khaled - Fed Up (feat. Usher, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Drake)

This song has a very fitting title because honestly I'm kind of fed up with these DJ Khaled super collabo tracks.  It was pretty cool the first time, not bad the second time, but now this is ridiculous.  If you have ever heard a DJ Khaled album you probably know what I mean.  At this point in Hip Hop collaborations are fun to listen to but now I think they are overplayed.  Anyways here is this track for your listening pleasure from OnSmash...

It has been a while since he dropped something, but Young Jeezy is one of the most respected commercial, and street rappers in Hip Hop right now. The new album is said to be Thug Motivation 103, and some mixtapes should also be on there way. If your a fan of Hip Hop you have to love what Jeezy brings to the game.

Young Jeezy - 24, 23 (Gucci Mane and OJ Diss)

Finally someone went after these clowns. Personally I don't like the music by Gucci Mane, and OJ Da Juiceman, and I'm happy that Jeezy went in on them. The beef aspect hurts Hip Hop, but the fact that someone with some substance is going after 2 dudes who I really don't feel are that good is something I can support. Anyways, here is the track through HipHopDX and let me know what you think. Gimmick, or legit?

Kanye West feat Jamie Foxx - Gold Digger

I ain't messin with no gold digger indeed, the anthem of 2005. As I recall we had a new Young Jeezy, a new Rick Ross, a 50 cent Massacre, and some other hot tracks. Ahhhh, the good old days.

Kanye West feat Young Jeezy - So Amazing

Here is the video for Kanye's song "So Amazing" with the homie Young Jeezy. Nice track but idk if it was good for the NBA playoffs. It might be his lyrics though, Kanye rips it.

Best Rapper Alive: Total Albums & US Sales

So for my first post I will compare record sales and total albums. I have decided to use Wikipedia as my source for Discography on each artist. What I will list on this post is the rapper's name, number of album's, and total approximate US sales. Also, I will not be posting any collaboration albums, just individual albums.

  • Jay Z - Total Albums: 10, Total Sales: 23 Million Albums (RIAA)
  • T.I. - Total Albums: 6, Total Sales: 7.5 Million Albums (RIAA)
  • Lil Wayne - Total Albums: 6, Total Sales: 9.3 Million Albums (RIAA)
  • Eminem - Total Albums: 5, Total Sales: 29.5 Million Albums (RIAA)
  • The Game - Total Albums: 3, Total Sales: 4.2 Million Albums (RIAA)
  • 50 Cent - Total Albums: 3, Total Sales: 14.5 Million Albums (RIAA)
  • Ludacris - Total Albums: 6, Total Sales: 15 Million Albums (RIAA)
  • Young Jeezy - Total Albums: 5, Total Sales: 3.6 Million Albums (RIAA)
  • Bun B - Total Albums: 2, Total Sales: 800k Albums (RIAA)
So after getting all this information together, the rapper with the most total album sales goes to Eminem who has nearly 6 million more sales in the US compared to Jay-Z. Once again these numbers are from the US, so they could be altered on a Worldwide level. So far though The Game, and Bun B do not have the commercial appeal I thought they did, but that could also be because they have the fewest individual albums released compared to the rest. The one exception is 50 cent who because of his first album has some pretty incredible numbers. Young Jeezy on the other hand has dropped 5 cd's which I didn't know about, and that seems like it hurt's his appeal based on just numbers.

TI, Young Jeezy, Ludacris, Lil Scrappy ON STAGE TOGETHER!

I know you probably heard the news about this but here is the video. From WSHH and boy is it fun to watch. The ATL hip hop scene is still movin forward, and with TI gone for 1 year I have a good feeling it will be held down very well by some prominent rappers. Oh yeah didn't Outkast say they was coming back, and aren't they from around here?

Young Jeezy - Circulate

Jeezy's new single "Circulate" has a video for it, but the problem is the lyrics don't even match the video. In the song Jeezy raps about hard times but in the video, he advertises the vodka he is a spokesperson for while chillin with some nice lookin girls. If this song was serious, and Jeezy was serious about his work he might have taken this video more seriously, but as we know now Young is all about his own paper. I guess its true, once you get out you forget where you came from.

Jadakiss Vs Jeezy

Two of the most respected rappers in the game have very similar physical attributes. Could they be the same thing in different regions? I think they are, and both are fun rappers to listen to. What do you think?

Jeezy to O'Reilly "Come to My Hood"

With a new mixtape coming out Young Jeezy took some time to address a few haters that have been on his case for a minute. Jeezy said in an interview that he would welcome Bill O'Reilly from the O'Reilly factor to come to his hood. Young Jeezy also made some statements about what he thought about Mr. O'Reilly, and Dennis Miller's comments regarding the music they release. All I know is Jeezy I'am on your side, but if you ever go to Bill's show he will not let you win, I've seen it! Any how keep dropping that real music for the 09 and we all good.
