Drake ft. Wizkid & Kyla - One Dance
Drake has been dropping some good music over the past couple of years. During the time I've been absent, we have heard a great contrast in what Drake once was to what he is now. The crossover appeal is still their for this man. This song right here is awesome. I really enjoyed how warm and upbeat this track is. If you needed a song for the summer while out at the beach, this is it!

MMG vs G.O.O.D. Music vs Young Money
I'm not trying to start beef or controversy with this article just wondering what people think. Lately we have been hit with a slew of commercially successful hip hop music. As we have evolved from irrelevant to controversial, bold, rebellious, a genre, dead, and now mainstream we have seen many empires rise and fall. From NWA, Death Row, Wu Tang Clan, Rocafella, Bone Thugs, Ruff Riders, etc. this is the era of 3 major labels so far.
MMG (Maybach Music Group)
Founder: Rick Ross
Current Artists:
Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Wale, Triple C's, Massapike Miles, Magazeen, Teedra Moses, Stalley, Audra The Rapper, Maybach Dice, Duce Pound.
After the first 3 artists we really don't know much about this group. Rick Ross has been able to solidify himself regardless of what his past contained, and has become a power house in the industry today. With Diddy dancing around him trying to re-create the 90s, Rick Ross has built a label that people are keeping an eye out for. Meek Mill has built strong buzz for himself with tracks like "Amen" and "I'ma Boss" Meek has the elements it takes to create a solid foundation for this label. Like I said before people are keeping an eye out for MMG and another artist that can cause reason for that is Wale. Already successful before signing to MMG, Wale was probably the biggest name to head over to Ross's group. If Rick and Wale can create a 1-2 punch like Drake and Wayne they could be on their way to a good era of music.

G.O.O.D. Music
Founder: Kanye West
Current Artists:
Kanye West, John Legend, Big Sean, Kid Cudi, Mr. Hudson, Mos Def, Pusha T, Hit-Boy, Q-Tip, D'banj, Teyana Taylor, Cyhi the Prynce, *Common (not sure about his status)
From annoying little producer who thought he could rap to fashion icon, musical genius, crazy guy, and more. Kanye West has established himself as a part of music history in more ways than one. As with many artists, he tried the clothing line and now has a label that is officially a power house. Some artists are legends and some are just breaking ground on hopes of a career as long as Mr. West's. Big Sean and Kid Cudi have brought Kanye recent success for his label, and great musicians like John Legend and Common paved the way for this current success. With recent acts dropping mixtapes and singles, Kanye himself might have something as big as his big brother, just sayin he might...
Young Money Entertainment
Founder: Lil Wayne
Current Artists:
Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Mack Maine, Tyga, Gudda Gudda, T-Streetz, Jae Millz, Lil Chuckee, Lil Twist, Shanell, Short Dawg, Cory Gunz, Torion Sellers, Kevin Gates, Christina Milian
Ok, so I guess when it comes to overall success it isn't really a competition to this point. Young Money is ahead of the pack but only because of 3 people. Lil Wayne, Drake, and Nicki Minaj have built this label up and created the current power house in hip hop. Tyga with his release over the past year has built off the buzz. It will be interesting to see if Young Money can release the unheard of artists, and the underground artists. I know its hard to find commercially successful albums all the time, but sometimes a street release is all that's needed. Oh well who knows, I'm just a blogger anyways right....

Drake featuring Jay-Z = Light Up
After that Tony Yayo track I think it is fair for me to put something that is a zillion times better than that garbage. I usually don't diss music that harshly but when you have high expectations like they do, c'mon! Any how let's get to this chill track with a beat that rides, and allows both artists to show there creative ability. Personally I can't figure out who did better on this, but I'm happy I get a chance to listen to a track that will be an instant classic...

Drake - Over (Video)
What the heck is going on in this video? A bed, street lights, people shadows, and Drake emo? So we all know Drake has probably the most highly anticipated album since Jay-Z/Eminem last year but seriously what's goin on? I saw the video for a good 2/3rds way through and I'm still confused. Why couldn't we just get a Drake doing it like old school Cash Money in 00. Oh well I'm not the one making the millions I'm just a fan, so let's hope the album is nothing but fire...

Drake's new single...
If you haven't heard by now Drake is working hard on his first album and boy does it sound like he has some fire. From what I've read, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Birdman, Eminem, Timbaland, Dr.Dre, and others are involved with this project. We all know Drake's EP was fire, and to tell you the truth I believe his Lebron James hype is going to overshadow his album. I'm not saying his album will be bad, and his sales will suffer but man he has some crazy hype. Anyways here is his first single and I hope he gets what he has wanted for so long, and that is just to be successful...

Birdman - 4 My Town (Play Ball) feat. Drake & Lil Wayne (Video)
Another track by the heavily saturated Cash Money crew right here, featuring none other than the big time boys and man. The hook on this song is pretty cool, it doesn't sound like it would be something Drake would rap, but the overall collaboration works well once again.
DJ Khaled - Fed Up feat Usher, Drake, Young Jeezy, & Rick Ross (Video)
Catchy song with the all star class Khaled is known to give up. These collaborations to show hip hop unity seem kinda played out though.

DJ Khaled - Fed Up (feat. Usher, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Drake)
This song has a very fitting title because honestly I'm kind of fed up with these DJ Khaled super collabo tracks. It was pretty cool the first time, not bad the second time, but now this is ridiculous. If you have ever heard a DJ Khaled album you probably know what I mean. At this point in Hip Hop collaborations are fun to listen to but now I think they are overplayed. Anyways here is this track for your listening pleasure from OnSmash...

Mary J Blige feat Drake - The One
I know we have seen this song in commercials, and Mary J does some autotune, but man this song goes hard for the ladies while Drake and the beat stay off the chain for the fella's.

Word is this Friday there will be a single featuring all 4 of the hottest rappers alive, but the question is will it be a single for Drake or just a mixtape track? Who knows but the thought of the collaboration is just mind blowing!
