B.G. Reunites with Cash Money

This news right here was confirmed by Lil Wayne himself, and it looks like half of the Hot Boys are going to be with the original label that created the group such a long time ago.  Everyone know the split that occurred between Birdman and a few of his artists during 01-04, with Juvenile, B.G., Turk, & Mannie Fresh all leaving the label.  Now with B.G. on board again it seems like all of these men reuniting with Cash Money is a possibility.

Juvenile Questions Hot Boys Reunion

So everyone in the Hip Hop world has the small article of Juvenile wondering if a Hot Boy's reunion will happen. I for one used to wonder but now days I'm more skeptical about it happening more than anything. There are many reasons for why I feel the way I do and I'm going to touch base on them now.

Turk: 1/4th of the group, Turk has had trouble getting on parole for a while now and could be the reason why everything has been moving so slowly. Even without Turk though the others should have prepared or even recorded a slew of songs to create a buzz, and anticipation for a reunion.

Wayne: Formerly one of the younger and unpolished rappers in the group, Lil Wayne still boasts the young but now he is the most lyrical and highly anticipated out of the group. At one point seen as just another rapper Wayne has made himself bigger than all his former label mates combined. The star that is surrounding Weezy has brought him more expectations and work, plus he has a new crew to lead in Young Money.

Juvenile: The one who supposedly created the rift at the moment because his finances weren't right, now Juvenile is the one who has the money in hand and is waiting on this opportunity to make himself relevant in Hip Hop again. As the eldest member of the group Juvenile needs this to reinvent himself, and have people wanting his music again. The hiatus he has taken after his last album has him seemingly more as a has been, so he would need to step up his game to help this become a nice group again.

B.G.: I was waiting for his album and it never dropped, now I'm thinking they don't even want to drop the album. The situation revolving around B.G. is one of great concern because nobody knows what it is. Him along with Turk are the biggest question marks because we need them, and they cannot get there situations straight. Until we hear from B.G. himself, his decisions along with TI in jail have us waiting for a while.

Mannie Fresh: I remember a beat by Mannie meant you had a single on the radio for a month, these days a beat by Mannie means a beat. Will this guy even be able to reinvent himself? I mean nobody in this new generation even cares about who he is or even knows who he was. One thing Mr. Fresh has on his side is that he has longevity like Juvenile. The problem is will Mannie even be Fresh enough for the young audience to like him again? Oh yeah, and what about his paperwork...

Baby: So him and Mannie Fresh were the Big Tymers and not really Hot Boy's, but they remain integral parts to the reunion happening. Baby has a full plate with Lil Wayne, Bow Wow, Young Money, Jay Sean, and Drake. The arsenal that Cash Money boasts is pretty nice, and a Hot Boy's reunion probably might not have any relevance for them at this point. There was a time when Baby needed them but now, it seems more like they need Baby and the shrewd business man might not let that happen.

Cam'ron & Mase SQUASHED BEEF!

So we got a high profile beef and now we have a low profile reunion. Two rappers who were at the top of there game in the mid to late 90's are now back together after a fallout back in 1998. Mase has reunited with Cam'ron and those who have listened to Hip Hop for ten years know, that this is a legendary reunion. Once these 2 men were part of a killer rap group called "Children of the Corn" they went there separate ways, and became some of New York's favorite rappers. Let's hope there are more collaborations within the city, but this brotherly love is feeling kinda strange right now...

Jadakiss Confirms Cam'Ron Collabo & Ruff Ryders Reunion

Well if the Hot Boys Reunion wasn't enough, now the Ruff Ryders are back (again) and they seem serious about there business. Earlier this week a remix to a song by Jadakiss dropped and it had nearly everyone from the past. In this post we got the "Whose Real Remix" and the link for the reunion article. I would also like to thank you to everyone following the blog, Hip Hop seems like it's going to have a ridiculous July.

D-Block Back With Diddy?

I got this news yesterday and I'm confused on why D-Block would go back and sign a deal with Diddy, even if it might be for 1 album. Anyways I feel that they shouldn't but this New York City reuniting thing is at another level right now, so it might be good. Let's hope they get fair compensation for this deal.

Jadakiss & DMX Back Together?

Sounds like it's true and it's on a remix for one of Jada's songs. Funny thing is in this article from Sohh, Ja Rule has a cameo in the video with other rappers. Does this mean beef? Let's wait and see.....

I was watching an NWA documentary on vh1 last night and I decided to look up some NWA tracks. One thing I found was this track with Snoop, Ren, Dre, and Cube which was supposedly for a NWA reunion.

Hot Boys Reunion Closer to Reality!

Remember Bling Bling? Remember Drop it Like it's hot? Remember Ha? Maybe Back That Thang Up? #1 Stunna? Yep all those are some famous songs from the multiplatinum record label Cash Money Records. Earlier today I posted up on Cash Money and Jay Sean, well now I have some news on the old school Hot Boys.

According to HipHopDX the Hot Boys have moved one step closer to a reunion album. So far Juvenile has signed a deal and is on Cash Money, while Mannie Fresh, B.G., and Turk still need to get there paperwork together. Turk is still in jail though and is waiting on parole, while B.G. has been waiting to drop his album for over a year now. Also, Mannie Fresh has stated he wants this album to be a classic, with quality material. I have a few things to add to this, one being HELLZ YEAH! The Hot Boys are what got me into Hip Hop in the late 90's so this is big for me. Another thing is if Fresh says this album is supposed to be dope then I believe him. The reason why is because he needs this as a step to show that he still has it on the production side. I'm in big anticipation for the next move, and I feel flooding the streets with some music could be the right way to go, especially since big time radio play doesn't translate into radio sales.

Here is a preview of what we could be in for!
