Drake's new single...

If you haven't heard by now Drake is working hard on his first album and boy does it sound like he has some fire. From what I've read, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Birdman, Eminem, Timbaland, Dr.Dre, and others are involved with this project. We all know Drake's EP was fire, and to tell you the truth I believe his Lebron James hype is going to overshadow his album. I'm not saying his album will be bad, and his sales will suffer but man he has some crazy hype. Anyways here is his first single and I hope he gets what he has wanted for so long, and that is just to be successful...

T-Pain - Reverse Cowgirl

Obviously when you hear this track you can hear the Timbaland beat. Honestly though this combination would've been very cool back a few years ago, but now it just sounds old and dated. Anyways I'll let you be the judge of that...

Yo Gotti feat Lil Wayne - Women Lie Men Lie

This song right here is on fire and for some reason I don't understand why it doesn't get the radio play it deserves. I'm sure there is some marketing stuff on Cash Money and Universal's side that need to be right, but hey this is a fire track.

Qwestions West = Interview + Mixtape

I know it's been a while since I posted on a featured artist but today I have one that everyone should check out.  Qwestions West is a young rapper from the Midwest and has a lot of promise for the future.  With this interview there is also a mixtape download link where you can get the mixtape free.  Ladies & Gentlemen I present to you an interview with Qwestions...

Where are you from?
I'm from the southside of Chicago.

What does the name Qwestions mean?
The name Qwestions is a nickname I got growing up. Its taking my first name initial "Q" and my last name "West" with the "ions" at the end. I got this name from a friend back in like 7th grade for asking too many questions, I just fell in love with it.

How long have you been rapping?
Man...as far as I know I wrote my first song at 8 years old. I still had the lyrics until just recently lol I cant find it now. I stopped writing and rhyming around 12 and got back at it around 14-15. Its just been non stop every since.

Tell us about this mixtape, what can we expect?
On my mixtape As Of Write Now I wanted to make people feel like they were listening to an album. The flow of the project, and the overall tone that is kept through out it and the quality of the songs I wrote keeps it from being an average mixtape in my eyes. If anybody was ever doubting me lyrically or creatively this mixtape will make them all believers I guarantee it.

What is your inspiration to rap?
My inspiration is the world around me. I love watching the world as things happen and how I and or other people react to things. I'm also inspired by my own personal life. I feel like my life is interesting enough to talk about a little bit lol, I like being able to let people into my world.

Who are you listening to right now?
Right now I'm bumping a lot of Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, and J. Cole. I listen to other stuff but these 3 get heavy rotation on my iTunes. The only other people getting a lot of play over here is my Conscious Productionz family.

What do you feel is the state of Hip Hop now?
I feel like Hip Hop, just like any other way of life, it has many different faces. Right now the mainstream side of Hip Hop is showing us something new. I do think its coming back around to the lyrics though. A lot of the newer breed of emcees are very lyrical and its refreshing. Things change from time to time so if we love Hip Hop the way everyone says they do they will embrace these changes until things look they way they would prefer.

What are some of your upcoming projects?
Right now I'm working on another mixtape that I will be dropping in April hopefully, and my album which will be dropping this summer.

Any words you want to leave readers?
I just want the readers to know I'm just making music from my heart. I hope they like the music enough to want to support me.

Lloyd Banks - Beamer, Benz, or Bentley (Behind The Scenes VIDEO)

So Lloyd Banks is blowing up again and this time it's a street single that has blazed up the internet like crazy.  With all the easy access to technology remixes on this beat have been outrageous.  Let's hope for some success for this G-Unit rapper as he has always been the most lyrical out of his group.  One question though, who is going to be pressing his album?

T.I. IS FREE!!!

It's been a while since we got a featured interview from T.I. in the blogosphere, and finally we get some music with a few words about a new album.  Here is the new song T.I. released Monday along with some news articles for fans to read:

B.G. Reunites with Cash Money

This news right here was confirmed by Lil Wayne himself, and it looks like half of the Hot Boys are going to be with the original label that created the group such a long time ago.  Everyone know the split that occurred between Birdman and a few of his artists during 01-04, with Juvenile, B.G., Turk, & Mannie Fresh all leaving the label.  Now with B.G. on board again it seems like all of these men reuniting with Cash Money is a possibility.

ABSOLUT NY-Z (trailer)

I know this has been around for a little bit and you know I had to comment on this.  This deal between Jay-Z and ABSOLUT vodka is a feature film which will cover a performance at Madison Square Garden, and have some information on Jay and his love for music.  Gear up for it because it will drop March 22nd and it will be found on Facebook.

DJ Whoo Kid = 10 Freshman Mixtape (COMING SOON)

I think we need something like this every year.  DJ Whoo Kid has created a compilation album which will be released on March 8th which will feature some very prominent new rappers.  I know prominent and new don't really work together but check out this artist listing: Big Sean, Donnis, J. Cole, Pill, Fashawn, Wiz Khalifa, OJ Da Juiceman, Nipsey Hussle, Freddy Gibbs, & Jay Rock.  A lot of these new guys have had a following for a few years, or have just exploded on the scene.  Here in the post which I got from 50 Cent's website, and they provided a tracklisting also.  I personally can't wait for this to drop, and it is great exposure for the new mainstream artists.

Lil Wayne - Drop The World (TEASER)

With all of the Lil Wayne jail delays here we get a leak of "Drop The World" which is probably the biggest hit of the spring time.  Ironically the video and song are dark but honestly who cares, its fire!!!

DJ Khaled - All I Do Is Win (Feat. T-Pain, Ludacris, Rick Ross & Snoop Dogg)

You gotta give up to DJ Khaled for always having the best collaborations.  We know the formula that he has put in motion has gotten old, but it is still fun to see so many big time rappers from different locations on one track.

Nappy Roots - Back Home

Holy dang I remember these guys from nearly 10 years ago, and its good to see they are still active in Hip Hop.  I wonder what Nappy Roots has been up to for so long, but since I don't have any interview information a new video and song seems good enough.

The Return of T.I.

Word is that T.I. is going to release a new song this coming Monday March 8th.  We all know he has been gone for a year and we know the reasons, let's see what the King of the South has left.
