Juvenile Questions Hot Boys Reunion

So everyone in the Hip Hop world has the small article of Juvenile wondering if a Hot Boy's reunion will happen. I for one used to wonder but now days I'm more skeptical about it happening more than anything. There are many reasons for why I feel the way I do and I'm going to touch base on them now.

Turk: 1/4th of the group, Turk has had trouble getting on parole for a while now and could be the reason why everything has been moving so slowly. Even without Turk though the others should have prepared or even recorded a slew of songs to create a buzz, and anticipation for a reunion.

Wayne: Formerly one of the younger and unpolished rappers in the group, Lil Wayne still boasts the young but now he is the most lyrical and highly anticipated out of the group. At one point seen as just another rapper Wayne has made himself bigger than all his former label mates combined. The star that is surrounding Weezy has brought him more expectations and work, plus he has a new crew to lead in Young Money.

Juvenile: The one who supposedly created the rift at the moment because his finances weren't right, now Juvenile is the one who has the money in hand and is waiting on this opportunity to make himself relevant in Hip Hop again. As the eldest member of the group Juvenile needs this to reinvent himself, and have people wanting his music again. The hiatus he has taken after his last album has him seemingly more as a has been, so he would need to step up his game to help this become a nice group again.

B.G.: I was waiting for his album and it never dropped, now I'm thinking they don't even want to drop the album. The situation revolving around B.G. is one of great concern because nobody knows what it is. Him along with Turk are the biggest question marks because we need them, and they cannot get there situations straight. Until we hear from B.G. himself, his decisions along with TI in jail have us waiting for a while.

Mannie Fresh: I remember a beat by Mannie meant you had a single on the radio for a month, these days a beat by Mannie means a beat. Will this guy even be able to reinvent himself? I mean nobody in this new generation even cares about who he is or even knows who he was. One thing Mr. Fresh has on his side is that he has longevity like Juvenile. The problem is will Mannie even be Fresh enough for the young audience to like him again? Oh yeah, and what about his paperwork...

Baby: So him and Mannie Fresh were the Big Tymers and not really Hot Boy's, but they remain integral parts to the reunion happening. Baby has a full plate with Lil Wayne, Bow Wow, Young Money, Jay Sean, and Drake. The arsenal that Cash Money boasts is pretty nice, and a Hot Boy's reunion probably might not have any relevance for them at this point. There was a time when Baby needed them but now, it seems more like they need Baby and the shrewd business man might not let that happen.

50 Cent & Kim Kardashian?

It would be funny if they did go out but all they did is ink a deal. According to several sources Kim has signed a deal with 50 Cent's fragrance company signaling more money for the successful rapper. I don't know all the details but I do know that those who still hate 50 have to respect his hustle, this man is every bit of the phrase "I Get Money"

Violence, Drugs, Problems

I decided with all the headlines in legal trouble that this title would serve best.

Today in news Juelz Santana, Jadakiss, and Jay-Z all made some headlines with Jay-Z being bashed by Bill O'Reilly.

Juelz Santana was arrested today for what is said to be threatening to kill his own wife. I don't know the details of the story as it is in initial stages but it doesn't sound good for the Byrd Gang Leader.

A few of Jadakiss's associates were arrested after Heroin and Weed were found in his residence, and we still don't know if there is any connection between Jada and the men with the drugs.

Finally Jay-Z with his song called "Off That" got the attention of none other than the notorious Bill O'Reilly. To keep a long story short Bill decided to once again bash a rappers lyrics, and call him a few names for his own amusement.

Drake, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Eminem Single?

Word is this Friday there will be a single featuring all 4 of the hottest rappers alive, but the question is will it be a single for Drake or just a mixtape track? Who knows but the thought of the collaboration is just mind blowing!

Dr Dre: A Higher Quality

The good doctor and Jimmy Iovine have teamed up with HP to bring us higher quality digital music according to this article by RapBasement. Word is that they will have bigger file sizes for us to download, and a new line of products also. In the article they state that it will be under the Beats by Dre title, which I'm guessing will bring in a line of products made by HP and marketed with Dr. Dre. If anything this is another media outlet which will have some units moving for electronic companies, but I still don't see how it will help the music industry when it comes to digital downloads, or deteriorating album sales. More money for higher quality? Maybe...

Timbaland Video Game?

Yep thats the News I got from RapBasement, and the game looks pretty cool if your a producer. Basically what you do in the game is make beats from loops already in the game, and I'm guessing there will be some type of competitive mode or something challenging in the game to do. Hip Hop keeps moving on...

Fabolous & Lloyd Banks Collabo?

According to Fabolous there are a few tracks with him and Lloyd Banks but until now nobody has had a chance to hear anything. Both New York City rappers have respect when it comes to there mixtape tracks, but until now neither showed respect or admiration for each other's work. Recently with Lloyd Banks being a free agent and Fabolous with his album out, talks look like they are preceeding towards a few collaborations between the two MC's. If anything as a fan of Hip Hop I would love to see these two men go at it lyrically together for entertainment's sake (no diss tracks).

C-Murder Get's Life

It's been official for a few days now but rapper C-Murder is going to jail for life. I don't know all the details to the story and if he will have a shot at parole early, but this is a story which shouldn't be taken lightly. A few years ago C-Murder was said to have killed a 16 year old at a night club. How the kid got in or what happened I don't have the info, but for Hip Hop this could mean bad things. I know we have the gangsta genre, and that could be affected most by this outcome, and trial. Let's hope everything works out for both sides in the future and there is closer for the 16 year old's family.

50 Cent & Soulja Boy: Yessuh

The kid 50 Cent showed some love for Soulja Boy while being brought out on Lil Wayne & Soulja Boy's tour. He stole the show for a bit, and this Soulja Boy/50 Cent thing could be a good play for both men....

BluePrint 3 Cover Art Explained

On Rap Basement Jigga explained the Album Art for his new album "The Blueprint 3". Some interesting information he gave was on the three red lines, and the instruments involved in the background. Jay-Z seems like he put some thought into this album, let's hope the musical work is just as entertaining. Oh and I got another link that came out a few days ago with the album tracklisting. One thing I really hoped for was a Just Blaze track, but maybe not this time.

Loso's Way Sales

Fabolous's album came out around the last time I made a post on this blog, and I'm happy to say that his cd will sell close to 100k first week if it hasn't already. The numbers that were told are around 97k but with the way things are going now I call that a success. Anyways, congrats to Fab on the sales but now we wait to see how 50 and Jay do next.
